This weekend: Architectural Follies 2.0 đź‘‹
Recently, we have revealed a multitude of fresh workshops that cover a wide range of topics.
Hello,
We're excited to announce several new workshops covering various topics!
This coming weekend, in the Architectural Follies 2.0 workshop, we will explore how parametric design influences our perception of architectural follies by examining the interplay between intellect and emotion.

This weekend: Architectural Follies 2.0
In this course, we will explore the emotional response, also known as “Affect,” of a folly within the context of Parametric Design (intellect). Parametric design is a powerful approach that combines mathematical algorithms, computational tools, and creative intuition to generate complex and dynamic architectural forms. The workshop will take place on June 29–30, 2024.
AI Conceptual Architecture 4.0 – Studio Hassan Ragab
AI Conceptual Architecture 4.0 is the fourth iteration of the workshops led by Hassan Ragab. Which aims to immerse participants in the innovative use of AI text-to-image tools for architectural design. This advanced workshop focuses on practical applications of Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, and Krea AI to create and refine conceptual projects. The course will take a place on July 6–7, 2024.
3D-Printing Ceramics 2.0 – Studio Josef Stoger
In the 3D-Printing Ceramics 2.0 workshop, we will explore clay 3D printing, with an introduction to the material and fabrication process, setting up files to print with cura, and finely choreographing printing paths with Grasshopper to gain complete control over the printer, learning techniques such as non-planar printing, variable extrusion, and custom-print paths. The workshop is scheduled for July 13–14, 2024.
Gravity Sketch: VR To 3D-Printing – Studio Salventius + Wakefield
Free for Digital Members
The workshop’s main goal will not be a how-to or a manual setup. The intention is to create experiences and thoughts free from software or hardware limitations. This means that the learnings shouldn’t be compatible with only a narrow selection of output options. The workshop will take place on July 20 - 21, 2024.
The Diffusion Architect: Stable Diffusion for Practical Workflows – Studio Ismail Seleit
This workshop’s main objective is to take you from zero to hero for the practical use of AI tools in the architecture design workflow. These skills are a must-have in this ever-changing landscape of the creative industry and will help you focus more on what is essential while designing. It will take place on June 27–28, 2024.
3D-Printing Innovations with FDM – Studio Victoria Roznowski
3D printing technology has revolutionized design and fabrication, offering a shortcut to turning digital designs into physical objects. This workshop aims to empower you with the skills to push the boundaries of this technology, enabling you to create innovative and unique designs. The workshop will take place on August 17 – 18, 2024.
PixelSpace: Intro to 3D Generative AI – Studio Daniel Escobar
This workshop will explore the cutting-edge techniques of multiview diffusion models conditioned on camera paths for 3D scene generation. We will dive into the latest methods for representing 3D scenes and geometry and investigate how current research in 3D generative AI leverages pre-trained image and video models for a 3D generation. It will take place on August 31– September 1, 2024.
Computational Design: NEXT 17
Computational Design: NEXT is a joint effort by some of the world’s leading experts in computational design to create an online learning platform that will also serve as a full-fledged online conference. The conference will take place on Saturday and Sunday, August 24–25, 2024, and will include workshops, panel discussions, technology demos, and presentations.
