Pininfarina Academy 2026: Architecture Summer Course in Turin

Pininfarina Academy has announced its 2026 Edition Architecture Summer School in Advanced Design & DfMA, scheduled from July 06–17, 2026.

Pininfarina Academy has announced its 2026 Edition Architecture Summer School in Advanced Design & DfMA, offering scholarship opportunities for up to 20 international students in a two-week program at a historic Italian design house, scheduled from July 06–17, 2026.

Scholarship Opportunity: Upto 20 students

Pininfarina, founded in 1930, embodies Italian elegance, innovation, and timeless design. Evolving from an artisan workshop to a global multidisciplinary group, it shapes automotive, architecture, and product design. Operating across countries and part of Mahindra Group, it collaborates with brands while delivering landmark projects through human-centered, technology-driven design excellence worldwide.

Summer School Guidelines

Participants at Pininfarina Academy join a selective two-week program focused on parametric, generative, and AI-driven design with advanced digital fabrication. Hosted at Pininfarina’s headquarters, the course combines keynote sessions, hands-on workshops, and access to manufacturing facilities for real-time prototyping and experimentation.

The program encourages global collaboration while advancing creative and technical skills. Through expert guidance and peer exchange, participants develop innovative architectural solutions, build an international network, and conclude with a refined portfolio and an expanded, future-oriented design perspective.

Course Overview

The Summer School of 2026 will address key topics in Advanced Design & DfMA including:

  • 2-week intensive program with access to proprietary tools and design methods for selected international students.

  • Hands-on work in visualization, prototyping, and parametric systems for rapid form development.

  • Exposure to Pininfarina’s design philosophy integrating aesthetics, function, and innovation through sketching and digital modeling.

  • Interdisciplinary learning across engineering, materials, and sustainability, ending in a collaborative real-world project.

Learning Objectives

The Pininfarina Architecture Summer Course (PAA 2026) equips participants with a future-focused architectural skill set combining design excellence and advanced technology including:

  • Design philosophy: Interpret Pininfarina’s values of elegance, purity, and innovation into strong, identity-driven architecture.

  • Technical skills: Hands-on training in parametric design, visualization, and prototyping tools.

  • Concept development: Create site-responsive proposals through iterative design and refinement processes.

  • Experience design: Develop human-centered, multisensory spatial environments.

  • DfMA integration: Validate concepts through engineering analysis before construction.

  • Cross-sector innovation: Apply automotive design thinking to architecture.

  • Design leadership: Maintain artistic intent across all project stages with consultants and teams.

  • Sustainability focus: Integrate forward-looking, responsible design strategies.
