Fibrous Architecture: Robotic Fabrication & AI Rendering

The workshop will be a loop between design and fabrication revolving around emerging morphologies of fibrous trajectories. The Workshop will delve into creating a workflow from design to digital fabrication for architectural-scale installation of an aggregated fibrous structure using a six-axis KUKA robotic arm. For projects where accessibility to a robotic arm would not be possible, a low-tech system for a manual wound strategy will be implemented.

AI-Driven Retail Architecture: From Animation to Construction

This workshop teaches architects and designers how to integrate the latest, most relevant AI tools into 3D retail workflows to design stores, supermarkets, product displays, pop-ups, and commercial stands. Participants will learn the fundamentals of professional retail design in 3D, how to generate AI-based assets for commercial environments, and how to apply cutting-edge AI techniques for conceptualization, post-production, and animation in retail architecture.

Algorithmic Urban Design in Grasshopper: Data-Driven Site Analysis & Massing

This workshop shows how to use Grasshopper for Rhino to analyze complex sites, sunlight, slope, vegetation, and visibility, and transform landscape data into diagrams and generative algorithms that guide optimal urban massing and design decisions.

In this technical workshop, we will explore the latest frameworks for digitising complex objects and generating complex, surface-aware robotic toolpaths that adapt to their unique topology. This workshop provides an in-depth exploration of the generation of computational toolpaths. The technical workflows required to generate valid instructions for any robot will be covered.
