This week, architecture moves between material experimentation, sensory experience, cultural references, and new forms of inhabiting our surroundings, from bamboo structures in London to hotels floating on water.

🌿 At the London Design Festival, Pangolin Shield explores the structural possibilities of bamboo through a pavilion inspired by the protective scales of the pangolin, bringing natural geometry, material intelligence, and fabrication together.

🌊 We travel across the world to explore 10 remarkable floating hotels, where architecture leaves solid ground behind and responds directly to oceans, lakes, rivers, and changing landscapes.

👀 We also ask a complicated question: when does architectural inspiration become copying? From recognizable references to near-identical forms, we examine the line between homage, influence, and originality in architecture.
