Hellos,
Here we are with the AI Crafts newsletter! 🚀
Apple has teamed up with the University of California, Santa Barbara to develop a new artificial intelligence model named MGIE (MLLM-Guided Image Editing) that enables users to modify their pictures quickly and easily by providing textual commands in plain language.
Google, on the other hand, has recently unveiled numerous updates that are related to artificial intelligence, including the Google One AI Premium plan with Gemini Advanced. Moreover, a stand-alone Android app has been introduced, while iOS users can access the product via the Google app. Furthermore, Google is planning to establish a new artificial intelligence (AI) hub in France.

Despite all of the latest advancements, there is a concern that AI's evaluation may take away jobs from humans. However, history has demonstrated that concerns about technological revolutions replacing human jobs have not always come to pass. In the past, mathematicians were concerned that calculators might replace them, while farmers feared that tractors would do the same. 🦾
🤔 Can AI replace designers in their jobs? |
The advent of AI has sparked fears about job security, but it is critical to remember that these developments do not necessarily indicate the end of human potential.
In addition to taking on jobs, AI girlfriends/boyfriends are now quite popular on the internet. People are impressed by AI's capacity to learn and adapt, and they are falling in love with it, as seen in Spike Jonze's Her movie. 🎥
Today, I picked up a few designers we've spotlighted lately, here are their experience with AI:
Eddy Tavio conceptualized the American riverfront as cultural infrastructure
Mirian Studios explores the intersection of industrial design and architecture through AI
Greg Tate Explores Hybrid Structure Possibilities Via AI
Last but not least, this weekend, we are hosting 'AI Creative Challenge 4.0', and we invite designers from all over the world to explore the possibilities of AI-powered design in architecture. You can employ AI tools to create some fantastic architectural designs!
