AI Crafts: AI Challenge 4.0 and new updates in AI 🦾

It's another Tuesday evening, and we're excited to delve into the latest edition of the AI Craft newsletter together! 🦾

Let's kick things off with some updates in AI. Google Research has recently unveiled Lumiere, a diffusion model for video generation. Lumiere uses a diffusion model known as Space-Time-U-Net, addressing the complex challenge of synthesizing videos with realistic, diverse, and coherent motion. Currently in beta, Lumiere is accessible for use. 👀

On another front, Midjourney has rolled out an exciting update – Niji v6 is now available for use. Users can leverage this latest version by simply adding the suffix ‘–niji 6’ to their commands. These updates aim to give users enhanced control and flexibility in image manipulation, elevating the creative process.

The new update is great because it generates amazing ideas for sketches and cartoons. Although it's not as realistic as the classic v6, I still love it. I usually use Midjourney to come up with design ideas. If you're working on any type of design and need sketch suggestions, you can give Niji v6 a try this time. However, we know that it's not very popular in the architecture community.🚀

Looking ahead to the upcoming weekend, we have a workshop with Settawut Leenavong on the intersection of AI and human movement design. This workshop will explore understanding various thinking processes and developing iterative algorithms to evaluate circulation within a given space.
